Social designer with gusto.
As an urban designer, I seek to understand how things interact. I explore the ways in which we engage with one another and all that surrounds us. My work translates research on how places affect people into design decisions that get built, on the premise that joy and belonging deserve the same weight as cost and maintenance. I work across urban design, civic engagement, and graphic arts, each strengthening the others.
I try to be plain about what the evidence firmly supports, what it suggests, and where we are still guessing. I’m AICP and WELL AP credentialed and based in Baltimore.
If you’re a researcher who wants a finding tested in a real place, or a practitioner who wants one made usable, I’d love to hear from you! Say hey and tell me what’s on your mind!
